About NI VISA Driver Wizard USB driver, disappear in NI-MAX

Dear all,

I have a control board via USB(CP2112 IC) using. I create the .inf file using NI-Visa Driver Wizard. It works well via USB VISA Out/In VI.

But the long-term monitoring is abnormal.

The USB device will disappear in NI-MAX. I must be plug in again.

Has anyone encountered the same problem? Is there a solution?

Thanks!

Justin

Hello,

Simple problem, but the source of the problem might be difficult to find.

This is only an EMI or power issue.

1-If you have motor, AC, relay or any other inductive load on the same circuit, you will have to add some filtering. other possibility, just add this device: Image result for ferrite USB

2- Make sure you are not sinking too much power from USB.

Any chance a power saving mode is disabling your USB port?

USB power saving is likely to have an effect only when the USB port is not used. Since he is using it hard time... I am sure it is not the issue. My experience is that noise cancellation is the key for USB communication reliability since it is not designed to be used in industrial environment. Another issue is the usage of USB hum that do not support the USB 2.0 speed even they said it is. Another issue could be USB hum not having external power connected. If the USB port is sinking too much current, the computer will disabled the port to protect itself. With USB DAQ it could be the problem to when something is sinking to much current from the DAQ.
