Add content to typedef constant

Solved!
Go to solution

I created a strict typedef constant containt references to controls and indicators which made a .ctl file. I now wish to add more control references to the typedef but can't figure out how... I tried to add the new control references directly to the typedef constant. This failed. I also tryed opening up the typedef which opened the .ctl file. This also was a non-starter as you can only view the front panel meaning I can't add references to the typedef constant..?

Any ideas?

I'm not too sure what you're trying to do, If you want to edit your typedef (add-modify remove controls to it) then of course you have to open it, do you modifications and save it ; then modifications will be propagated throughout your soft wherever you typedef is used.

The fact that you want to add a control reference control to your typedef doesn't change anything.

Typedefs don't have a block diagram, and you to add a control ref control to your typedef, you can do it from the front panel, just go to your the appropriate palette (Refnum)

Hope this helps
