I need to measure and display the instantaneous angle of a continuously rotating shaft using an absolute encoder. I have to use a cRIO with 9401 module. Is there any already tested code for this with anyone..?

Hi,
I use an Endat 2.2 Encoder from Heidenhain model ECN125 with a cRio Endat 2.2, 3 channel input module from a third party supplier in Germany called SEA.
It is extremely accurate, to 5 arc seconds. It can use single or multiturn encoders.
Hope this helps
Mike Mason.

hello
Can I have the sample code for this please?

Here is the VI it is good for speeds up to 1000 rev/min and if you need higher just write it into the FPGA.
But you do need the Endat module licensed drivers from SEA Germany and the cRio Endat 2.2 Module and an encoder from Heidenhain to make it all work.
Good Luck

Hey,
Have you tried it with myRIO also? I think it should work but what do you suggest?
