Announcing.... The LabVIEW 2013 Platform Beta Program

I know that NI looked into having NIWeek around February. I don't remember all the reasons for not doing it, but apparently one of them was that the convention center fee was much higher. I'm assuming that this is somewhat offset by having to fly and get hotels during the holiday season, but I have no idea what the actual numbers are.

You seem to have crossed your questions - http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/How-to-hold-data-even-closing-the-VI/m-p/2422156#M747342

Anyway, like people already said in this thread, the DVDs say 2013 because they also include things which are not LV. The actual LV version on them is 2012 SP1 and you can expect LV 2013 to come out in August.

Is it necessary to uninstall all the Beta to install the new version? I couldn't find any info on this and would rather save the half-day uninstall process, if it isn't needed. Thanks.

Hello!

It's always a best practice to uninstall a beta version of software before installing a released version.  So, yes, please do so.

Thanks!

It's all listed as XXXX 2013 (no beta) in the National Instruments Software pop-up window opening after the Add/Remove Program item "National Instrument Software" item is selected (Windows XP), though...

And it looks like it's going to take a real looooong time.

5 hrs (LV + MathScript + Vision), including 3 hrs of uninstallation of the beta (LV + Vision)...
