Archiving (duplicate heirarchy) project using Save-As does nothing, works on others

'Morning.

I'm having trouble getting one particular project to 'archive'. I've tried multiple options (include references, I've chosen specefic references, excluded vi.lib, multiple destintations, etc). No .lvproj file is created, and the HDD indicator does nothing. Simply closes the dialog. This function (File-Save As) performed on the toplevel project does work for some smaller projects just fine.

Maybe about 300 dependancies (including vi.lib), LB 8.5.1, fresh install with XP about two months ago.

Thoughts? Unfortunately I'm unable to post the entire project (for obvious reasons).

Regards,

Jamie

Hi Jamie,

Sounds like what you might want to do is build a source distribution.  You can also build a .zip file as well.

My thoughts exactly.

Please note that the Source Distribution does not copy the .proj file (which I reported as bug but was told that didn't make sense Smiley Sad )

Ah, nearly forgot about that option, thanks!

First attempt yielded: system replication example from NI had a slash in the VI name. Renamed, and it built OK.

File-Save as (duplicate) still yields the same.
