CANOpen, CAN, cRIO and FPGA

Hello

We have a project using CompactRIO (9056) with both CANOpen and CAN capacities to communicate with different devices.

For CAN we use NI 9861 over XNET on real time mode,

For CANOpen we will use 9881, do we need FPGA  module to make it work?

If so, why the CAN NI 9861 does not need FPGA  module but CANOpen 9881 needs? Isn't CAN and CANOpen have the same basic levels?

Thanks for enlighing

Hello

We'd like to use NI 9881 CANOpen module on cRIO 9056 controller, but in MAX it keep saying "The specified device is not present or is not active in the system. The device may not be installed on this system, may have been unplugged, or may not be installed correctly."

What could gone wrong?

Were you ever able to figure out this issue?  I have been having issues getting my 9056 to recognize my 9881 module. Any advise would be appreciated.

Can I Use NI 9881 CanOpen with cRIO 904x and 905x?
