No. You don't have to do a whole bunch of individual wiring. You can create an array of references to your LED's and pass that array into a For Loop along with the array you read from the shared variable. Autoindex with both arrays on the For Loop and write the boolean value to a value property node.
There is a right click framework that makes wiring the array of boolean references easier.
