Sam,

please take a look into the DAQmx examples which are installed with DAQmx. You will find examples for the most common dataacquisition setups (single sample/finite/continuous for example).

Regarding your producer/consumer question: 

I am not sure if your knowledge in LabVIEW is yet sufficient to understand it. Nevertheless, please see the link Jan_HeG created in your other thread.

Another comment, Sam, i have to give about the threads you opened over the last few days:

It is not the idea of the forums to teach you the very basics about LabVIEW. You should definetly consider attending a course (e.g. LabVIEW Basic I and II).  The courses are focused on getting people to start with LV and if you'd attend them, most of your questions would be answered. Furthermore, you would learn about other possible ways to solve your task too.

Learning a new programming language on your own is difficult (even if it's as intuitive as LV) and you most probably miss important information because in general humans are known to stick on "their solution" regardless if that makes sense or not.

Additionally, for most of the posters in this forum, it is very difficult to help you if you don't know the difference between for and while loop as well as how to toggle autoindexing. These are basic knowledge which is somehow a prerequisite for effective usage of this forum.

Please don't take me wrong: i am happy if i can answer questions in this forum. But if the basics have to be explained over and over again, someone is likely to feel like Sisyphus.

you are right,  i was thrown in the deep end. However, this is the last day Im using labview for a while.
