Can I use a HD webcam to measure changing dimensions through labview

I am looking to use a high definition webcam coupled with Labview to monitor the changing dimensions of a test piece under loading. Is the labview software capable of this and if so, where is a good place to start?

LabVIEW can certainly do this but the addition of the NI-Vision toolkits (http://www.ni.com/vision/ --  not free) will speed things up dramatically.

As NIquist has said labVIEW is capable of this and it would be much easier to use NI vision toolkits. As for the HD webcam it is possible however if it is a off the shelf webcam it will come with drivers but not drivers that labVIEW will recognise, so you will have to created drivers this is possible. The alternative is to perches NI vision hardware and all the drivers and support are there for you.
