Community edition and Add-ons

Is the Application Builder Add-on included with the Community edition?

If it is not included, how do I "remove" it from the NI License Manager window?

No. It's part of the Professional Edition only and needs to be purchased otherwise.

I cannot figure out how to remove all LabVIEW 2019 Professional and start fresh with LabVIEW 2019 Community so that I have only what is included with it.

Neither version shows up in NI Package Manager.

It is so confusing.

To answer my own question.

I had to use NI Package Manager to uninstall LabVIEW 2021  ,  3 main items .

LabVIEW 2021 doesn't show in NI Software in Control Panel even though LabVIEW 2017, 2015, and 2013 are there.

Then when installing LabVIEW 2021 Community, Deselect All the other items NI says would be nice to have. There is a list of ten items or so.

I don't understand why you intentionally hobbled the Community Edition like that.  Everything that it wants to install is part of the package.  They do show up as add-ons to the "Pro Eval" license because they are add-ons for that.

I think you are overthinking this.  Just ignore "Pro Eval" in the License Manager.  If you no longer have "Pro Eval" and the add-ons in the License Manager, chances are you have are missing out on most of the "good stuff" that comes with LV Community Edition.

I am not intentionally hobbling anything.

I must have installed LabVIEW 2021 Professional under trial basis last year which is good for only a month. I don't have a license for it.

Then yesterday, I installed Community edition . When I go to activate Community it shows those Add-ons which are not useable with it.

You should've been able to just activate Community Edition and ignore the other stuff, but hopefully you still ended up with a complete install.  Have fun!  That's what it's all about.  🙂

This is new NI License Manager.

Just has the LabVIEW 2021 SP1 Community Edition and no residual LabVIEW 2021.Screenshot 2022-03-15 141959.png

There's also one other you should have besides app builder, but I forget what it is.

I was under the impressions that the community edition includes the application builder (same as Pro).
