I'm trying to convert some CAN data to convert using a converter that also needs to output a decimal value. For example 0xFF gets output as 255.0 0b1111 gets output as 15.0 and 1566.78 gets output as 1566.78 CAN data uses 64 bits so you'll have something like FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF that needs to get converted. I'm running into problems converting it for a comparison and then converting it back to hex for the log files. I think the 64 bits may be too much but I _need_ to be able to use it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Comparing floating point numbers is always a bit of a risky procedure.......... so better leave that idea off track!
