I'll guess, without reading the application note, that you did misinterpret their instructions.  Even though your topic said "Custon Right Click Menu" and you specified it in your original post, I had interpreted (after looking at your code) your intention as being to use a custom menu for the VI, not for the control.  That's what I did.  My last post used the custom menu you had provided for the control.

OK, now I get it.

I'll probably be able to integrate the event based solution you provided in your last post to solve the problem and I want to thank you and Hooovahh for your help in working this out.
