WIth regard to the disabled "Customize" feature inside the control edditor, some particularly interesting (and flexible) control editor options were removed when the "Customize" option became disabled.
The obvious question here is this:
"Why was the Customize option disabled after LV 7.0?"
And the follow-on question has to be this:
"Is there a LabVIEW.ini file setting -- or perhaps another method -- that can be used to re-enable this grayed-out Customize option?"
The work-around is OK, but it was much more conveniet when you could edit sub-components directly.
Thanks,
D.

Yes enable the "Open in control editir on double click".
I usually leave that shut off since it lets me find a control in the code fast but for getting to the edit while editing thing it works.

Following up from the previous post, I was not able to get into an editor for the components using the suggested method.
(I still have to wonder why this power customization capability was taken away from us...)
