I am trying to read an analog voltage signal and display it on the front panel. I have a PCI card installed that is recognized by MAX. I can see the signal when I use "test signal". The DAQ assistant express VI does not give me the option to create an indicator, however. "Create" does not even appear on the shortcut menu when I right click the DAQ assistant on the block diagram. How do I display the signal on the front panel? I am using labview 7.1 with NI-DAQmx 7.2

DAQ assistant is missing a data terminal

The DAQ assistant is no where to be found on my computer. I've instaled the last DAQmx version 9.2.2 but unable to see DAQ assistant. My device is a PCI 6220 connected to BNC 2120. What's going on. All I'm trying to do is measure a voltage from a LED optical switch.
