Because I am a masochist, I am using XP 64bit OS. And everything about my 6.1 Labview install seems to work with exception of the DB connectivity for Oracle. I used the 32bit ODBC admin tool to configure Access DB connections and they work fine with LabVIEW. My 32bit Oracle connections work fine using the Oracle ODBC Test utility and with other tools like SQL Navigator. But I cannot connect to my server VIA the "DB Tools Open Connec (String).vi".
It seems as though LabVIEW 6.1 is pointing to the 64bit ODBC configs which dont exist. I have re-installed the DB connectivity toolkit just to make sure I have all of the underlying drivers. Is there a work-around for this?
Thanks in advance,
Mike

“DB Tools Open Connec (String).vi->CM Navigator.vi->Software Tools.vi<ERR>Exception occured in Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers, [Oracle][ODBC][Ora]ORA-06413: Connection not open.
. in DB Tools Open Connec (String).vi->CM Navigator.vi->Software Tools.vi”
We also have an issue with Diadem 8 on this XP 64 platform too. I know it was never intended to support this OS, but if I could find a work-around I dont have to wipe my HD and start over.
Thanks,
MB

Hmmm. Is something wrong with your connection string?
Can you post it?
