when selecting start using this driver it showed

I went back and installed the next one nidevsim_2.0 Instrument driver

cwhw112_4-1716064633422.png

i checked device manager and ni max which both said my device had no driver

with device manager i tried searching

C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2015\instr.lib\NI Instrument Simulator

which was just installed and got nothing (same for search atomically for drivers)

i went back to driver finder and said install to overwrite existing files

repeated the process searching with device manager and still nothing

can someone help with what I need to do to use this device?

Maybe you just need the GPIB driver?  I don't know a lot about NI Simulation but here is the GPIB driver.

Should I get the latest or closest to my labVIEW version?

Driver support is for the matching LabVIEW version plus the 3 before it.

So if you are using LabVIEW 2021 through 2024, you can get the 2024 GPIB drivers.

But if you're using LabVIEW 2015, which is my best guess based on screenshots, then you want to get the drivers from no later than 2018.

(sorry for the delay)

I installed the driver you suggested:

and now it shows up good in device manager

cwhw112_1-1718932750924.png

also in NI MAX

and the simulation software sees it

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
