DaqScan 2005 not detected in LabVIEW

I have installed the driver for DaqScan 2005 in my computer using the cd which had come along with this daq device. I have configured it as mentioned in the manual and I have also tested it using the Daq Configuration in the control panel. When I use Labview (version 7.1), the daq assistant does not detect my daq deveice and says 'no supported devices found'. What should I do?

Hi Nitish,

are you talking about this?

You should read the manual. Then you should use the driver VIs that came with your DAQ device...

As this is no NI hardware you will not find any support in the NI hardware driver. That's why the DAQScan2005 comes with it's own driver...

Best regards,
GerdW

Hi GerdW

Thank you for your reply. As mentioned before also, I have already installed the hardware driver using the driver cd which had come along with my Daq device. Also while installing the same, I had also selected 'LabVIEW support' . Even then when I use Daq assistant in labview, it does not detect my Daq device.

Hi Nitish,

the DAQ Assistent will only detect NI hardware (it is using DAQmx functions in the background). As your device is using it's own driver functions it can't be detected by the assistent...

Use the functions that are installed by the driver cd of your device...

Best regards,
GerdW
