There currently is no support for the Spartan3E board in LabVIEW FPGA 2013, and I am not aware of any plan for developing support in the near future. Sorry for the bad news...

Hi mangood,

As T-REX$ said previously, there is no plan for developing support for the Spartan 3E board in LabVIEW FPGA 2013. The LabVIEW FPGA Module typically only targets National Instruments FPGA products. As the Spartan 3E board is not a National Instruments product, there is no further plan for developing a separate driver for this.

An updated driver would be really nice. Or enable download for 2012 student edition.

btw: the driver is a NI product ... from the manual

it works for other boards with this FPGA too, like the Xilinx Spartan Board we use in the university.

For that it would be nice.

I am a little bit confused.

The device driver will not be developed for LabView 2013.

But NI is still selling the NI-Digitalelektronik-FPGA-Board as part of the NI ELVIS II/II+ System.

The student and evaluation version is 2013 too.

Or is it possible to get the 2012 SP 1 Version?

The most recent driver for the Digital Electronics FPGA Board is version 5.2. This requires LabVIEW 2012. As far as the Digital Electronics FPGA Board being distributed as part of the ELVIS Suite and only LabVIEW 2013 being available, I will have to check with R&D for more information here. I will check into this and get back to you.

I have some good news! We have a new LabVIEW 2013 driver available for the Digital Electronics FPGA Board available online. Still no word on Spartan3E support, but if I get confirmation that it's coming, I'll be sure to update this thread.
