Hi,
I have a quick question regarding the NI-Max. Is it possible to run the NI-MAX as a stand alone from a remote machine (host) that doesn't have LabVIEW development environment and connect to a realtime target (compactRIO)? Basically, I would like to access to my cRIO with a machine without LabVIEW development environment.
Thanks,
Serdar

You can download the NI System Configuration which includes the latest version of NI MAX. But, the description says to "Install Application Development Environments, such as NI LabVIEW or Microsoft Visual Studio®, before installing NI System Configuration".
Here is the link: http://www.ni.com/download/ni-system-configuration-14.5.0/5158/en/

I have never done this, but I see no reason why it wouldn't work. In the past I've used MAX when the development environment wouldn't work or wasn't licensed properly. I've talked to hardware after LabVIEWs trial was up, and I've looked at GigE camera images when the vision toolkit was not licensed.

That is only so it knows which language support it needs to install.
I am pretty sure I have used MAX without LabVIEW also installed. We were running an executable that was built with LabVIEW.
