Does labview support bluetooth

Hello,

I would like to know if there is any version of Labview (6.1 or later) that would support Bluetooth in it's set of instructions. The operating systems could be Windows or linux.

I also like to know what level of control I could have over bluetooth communications if any.

Thanks

Jorge

Hello Jorge,

Yes, go to communications, bluetoth, there you have the vi's you need to handle bluetoth communication.

Hope it helps,
Paulo

Sorry, I forgot to mention the version, I think it's only after version 7.0, but I'm not sure.
In version 7.1 it does support.

As far as I know, BT is only supported in LV 7.1 on windows XP.

Hi, I have a question about blue tooth pairing.  I like to pair a bluetooth dongle with a bluetooth modem.  Can they be paired strictly in labview (without going through bluetooth software)?  I'm using labview version 7.1

I have no experience with Bluetooth, so I suggest you do some more searching and look at the BT examples in the example finder (Help>>Find Examples) and if that doesn't help start a new thread for this question.

Bluetooth pairing is not supported in LabVIEW. I would recommend filing a product suggestion at the Product Suggestion Center.

Thanks.  It just a little inconvience to switch between labview and other application software.

You can use this vi to programmatically pair with a bluetooth device, You'll need to download the 32feet.net  dotnet files for it to work
