Fred,

Since you downloaded the driver from Agilent, I am not sure what sort of examples it may include.  I would personally recommend installing the 415x series instrument driver from National Instruments (you can do this easily by selecting "Help>>Instrument Drivers" within LabVIEW and searching under Agilent).  This driver is not specifically made for the 4155c, although it may work.  Otherwise the included examples (located at Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.5\instr.lib\Agilent 415X Series\Examples) can serve as a reference for getting started with the driver you downloaded from Agilent.

I hope this helps a little, but if you are still confused, feel free to reply to this post.

Good luck!

Hi,

I have been working on 4155C recently and I need those drivers. I searched and downloaded the driver on the Agilent website but it didn't work. Becaues my system is 64-bit while the driver is for 32-bit. And I am now using Labview 2011. Does anyone know where I can get the drivers for 4155C? I also tried to find them in NI website. Still didn't work. Thanks.

Hi,

I also tried installing the 4155C drivers off of Agilent’s website but they did not work for me as well. The LabVIEW drivers from the ni.com link (see below) worked fine for me. The drivers Agilent provides may not have been updated in a while, but you might want to contact them and see if they have updated ones that will work with 64-bit OS’s.

I have put in a web request to remove/repair the broken link on the 4155C driver link page on ni.com (it appears only the link to Agilent is broken).

Hi Bill,

I have tried the link you suggested but it still didn't work. The error is that it can not load "hp4156b_32.dll". I don't know what's wrong with it.

The dll comes from agilent. Its probably the same one you cant use on a 64 bit os.

What does not work with the native LabVIEW one?

Yes, I also think it is because of my system is 64-bit. I can't use the VIs from LabVIEW.
