Driver for Waters 1515 HPLC Pump

Hi All,

Has anyone written a driver (or VI) to control a Waters 1515 HPLC pump?  I'm trying to take the official software that controls it (Breeze) out of the equation because it doesn't support Windows 10, and the price of the Windows 7 version is thousands of dollars.  Any help would be appreciated.

There is a tutorial that explains how to develop LabVIEW Plug and Play Instrument Drivers. However, you would require reading the operating manual thoroughly and learn how to use the instrument interactively through its specific commands in its communication type before you attempt any VI development.

Well i am not an electronics engineer. But can guide or explain. I have been selling Waters instrumentation from last 20 years and deals in Refurb HPLC units in Pakistan. 

Waters have Empower or Breeze Software that controls the Waters 510,515,1515,1525,1525u

Pumps. If you see into detail of electronics you will come to know these are basically frequency based systems, which even the Waters oldest software in 80`,90` Maxima can control. This Maxima software was designed in Dos and GW Basic. They used to have MetraByte now National Instrument card. Which was common and plug n play. 

One of the CzeRepublican company namely DataApex also claim to operate Waters 510,515 pumps. using almost same card like NI as CB20

I dont know why they are after the electronics of Waters 1515,1525 boards. Once the Pump technology remain same. I mean stepper motor and hydraulics. 

So it wont be difficult if you are an software engineer i can provide you Waters old software Maxima copy to began the work on just editing on some points and you can be able to control pumps, and collect detectors data except PDA,ELSD.

Dear Sir , 

I was going through ur post . As I understand you are dealing in refurbished HPLC.  

I am having a waters LC1515 along with CD but don't have the license key .
