I'm still missing your explanation of what you really what to do.

The C code your showed is just a normal function call, not a call back function.

What is it you what to filter in the event structure?

You know that you can have multiple user events registered for one event structure.

And you can transfer data with the event, so you can filter on the incoming data.

The C code is just a simple code to illustrate what i wanted. Nvm, i think the queue with timeout would be fine. Many thanks.
