Error -1073807339 occurred at VISA Read in basic_gpib_write_and_read.vi

I have a Norma D6000 and my computer install the Labview 8.6 , I have all the drivers and When I use the samples ,

when i type in the command "*IDN?" it reply the "NORMA  ,A4603305/D6200"

so the device works,but everytime i give the command "RED?" I try to read out the data , it comes back the timeout expired before excution complete error.

I'm confused , I increase the timeout value to 10000000 and decline the read buffer of READ block to just 1 , it is still the same.

anyone can help me to read the data out of my machine?

it's GPIB source and I use VISA to connect it

Are you using these drivers? Not sure if Norma and LEM are the same.

Those apply for a serial connection. The OP has a GPIB connection. Big difference.
