Error 1073807346 when writing to USB Com Port

Writing to USB com port generates  “1073807346”
error.  When the same com port is
used through hyper terminal it works fine.
If I change to a build in com port it works fine.   I am running LabView 2011 32-Bit on  windows 7 64-bit.   Any ideas?
See attached  .vi for reference.

Your subject says error 1073807346  but the screen shot says error 1073807360.  Why is that?

Search the forums for error 1073807360.  There are different message threads on it, some of which discuss using self powered USB hubs.

Is your USB RS-232 converter connected directly to your PC, or is it connected to a USB hub?  What if you try using a different USB/RS-232 converter?

I get both of them.  Still it works fine with hyper terminal or if I use very old NI original serial drivers.
