I simplifed your VI to only load the same, display it and export to the Clipboard.
No crash after 102 iterations.

Yes. It crashes when build into exe.
This might be related to the known clipboard bug.

Well, googling that, I get this thread which suggests a .NET workaround. I will give this a try as soon as I get a chance. Thanks!

I marked this solution solved because the BMP mode did fix the crash. The issue with EMF mode is continued here.
Also, attached is a workaround supplied by NI using EMF format and .NET. This solution works, but is slow due to its need to write and read from file.
