Generate specific pulse

I have an NI9401 module with cDAQ-9178, I would like to use it to control my multiplexer. I would like to manually select a specific channel and let stay on, for example in the front panel, I have a button to select channel 3, it will generate 3 pulses and stay on at channel 3, if I select channel 5, it generates 5 pulses and stay on at channel 5. I greatly appreciate if someone can share some ideas and provide a sample code.

Hi Xiao,

I would like to manually select a specific channel and let stay on, for example in the front panel, I have a button to select channel 3, it will generate 3 pulses and stay on at channel 3, if I select channel 5, it generates 5 pulses and stay on at channel 5.

Which "channel" do you want to select?

Are you talking about channels of your NI9401 - or of your "multiplexer"?

Where do you want to output those pulses?

What means to "stay on"?

What happens with "channel 3 stay on" once you select channel 5?

So many questions, so little information…

Best regards,
GerdW
