I'm using the SilLabs 2102 https://www.silabs.com/Support%20Documents/TechnicalDocs/cp2102.pdf .
There are 3 of these on the test fixture and occasional after a reboot or changing the testhead the com ports don't come up in the correct order
I have programmed the eeprom on each 2102 uniquely with certain strings that show up in the "location" if you go to device manager/ com ports/ properties.
I need to write a VI that will read the "Location" string from device properties and compare it against the com port it came up as.
Problem is I can't seem to find the right property node that has this information?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to utilize the DAQmx task property node and select devices under the drop down menu. To get this property node you can go to measurement I/O/NI-DAQmx/Advanced / I/O Constants / DAQmx Task Property Node.
