Help with VISA Write expression for IP-7017 with Lab Communication

Hi everyone,

I'm currently working with an IP-7017 and an IP-7520, trying to establish communication with an indicator using a VISA Write structure in LabVIEW. I've been referencing the manual (which I've attached at the end of this message), but I'm having trouble formulating the correct expression to send data properly to the device. Just saying it is for a Tensile test.

So far, I’ve managed to set up the basic connection, but the challenge is understanding how to format the write commands to control or read from the indicator effectively. I'm particularly interested in any insights or examples on:

  • Correctly formatting the VISA Write string for my specific setup.
  • Making sure the commands are interpreted correctly by the device.
  • Troubleshooting common issues in setting up this type of communication.

If anyone has experience with these devices or similar setups, I would really appreciate any guidance or examples you could share.

Thanks in advance for your help!
