Thanks bradh,
We finally got the Oxilink from Smith's but didn't recieve a reference guide or data words from them to be able to connect to LV. Did you have to request that separately?

As far as I could find some information in a quick search, these devices have a 3.3V CMOS serial output. To connect it to a PC / LabVIEW program you need a USB to 3.3V/CMOS serial converter (about 5 - 15$ depending where you buy)
AND
you need the protocol information that only the manufactor can provide. Maybe it's somewhere at their websites. I would pic up the phone and ask for it if I could find it after 10min search.
EDIT: Just because the name of the manufactor is smiths m e dical the posting filter doesn't allow me to post !! This stupid name filter flags just by the word 😉
EDIT2: If you run into problems: exactly post the type of instruments/devices you have, if possible provide links to documentation and post your code

Thanks Henrick
However, what we are really looking for is the instrument driver for the oxilink.

I believe we had to ask for it. It uses RS-232 and they provided a document with the seriel definitions. I should have it in an archive. PM me your email and I will forward it.
