How do you change the style of controls/indicators created from DAQmx

I have changed the style in the VI properties and even changed the default for new VIs. It works for every function block except the DAQmx ones, I still get the Modern style when creating a control or indicator from a DAQmx block. Of course, I could manually place all the controls, but that's just a pain. Is there a setting that I have to change within the DAQmx settings? I can't find anything.

Anything will help! Thanks!

I'm a little confused.  Could you please identify the LabVIEW Version you are using?  [I'm using LabVIEW 2019 SP1, 32-bit].  What is the Front Panel "Control Style for New VIs"?  [Mine is "Modern Style"].  What Style do you want for the DAQmx Controls/Indicators?

I notice that of the 5 Styles available for the Front Panel, all except System have a set of Icons for "I/O".  Are you using "System", by any chance, as your Default?  You may have to create a set of Default Icons and figure out how to get them included in the System Front Panel set ...  It seems to me that I recall that the LabVIEW Tools Network (accessed through VIPM) has alternative Control Icons that VIPM "plugs in" to LabVIEW -- looking at where/how this is done might give you some clues.

He creates control/indicate from the diagram, not on the front panel.

When you create a control from a subVI terminal (e.g. with DAQmx VIs), LabVIEW automatically copies the style from the control inside the subVI.

For native yellow blocks however (such as "Obtain Queue"), there is no "inner control", so LV takes the default style you configured in the VI properties.

As far as I know, there is no way to change the behaviour with subVIs.

All you can do is hope that one day NI will update all their VIs with NXG-style controls...
