How to Create a Drop-down list Menu and Link to Word files

Hello Everybody,

Anyone can please help me in Labview 8.0 code?

I want to know How to Create a Drop-down list Menu for a list of MS-Word files and select the MS-Word files from that list either by clicking or entering the file number or code number for MS_Word file

and when i select the MS_Word file the corresponding file path is displayed in a textbox and a new VI is opened.

If anyone could post the code, thanks.

I might not have the time to post a ready-to-use code, but to do yout task, here are the steps,

1- at the following link, u'll find an example of creating a " browse panel " , it enables u to browse through ur drives to get a path at the end. use the VI BrowseFile.vi

for reading the word file , am afraid it's not gonna be that easy .. u would need the report generation toolkit, anyways , the following threads might be useful,
