How to include rosette strain gages in a task using MAX?

Hello,

I have Daqmx 9.8 installed with MAX 5.5. I see that a can create rosette strain gage signals(principal strains, principle axis etc...) in Labview using Daqmx create channel sub vi, but I don't see any options in Measurement and Automation explorer to setup a rosette strain gage input signal within a daqmx task. Is this possible, and if so, is there another driver I need to install? I am using a cdaq 9172 chassis with NI-9237 card.

Thanks for any info.

Hi Adam,

Unfortunately at this time, creating a rosette strain gage is not currently possible in MAX, though you can using the DAQmx API as you stated. DAQmx would be the only driver you need to do this if it were possible.

I will discuss this with R&D. Hopefully we will see this in a future release of DAQmx.
