How to stop a vi with no stop button and run on startup

Solved!
Go to solution

HI,

A stupid situation here where I modified a working vi but the done button I used now does not closing the vi. Obviously an error.

However, as it had been working the panel is set to run on startup and has no stop button so it runs and there seems no way to stop it.

I have tried pretty much everything inc ctrl+. and all other ctrl's and shift ctrl's and nothing will stop it.

Any suggestions  please?

Jessica

Hi Jessica,

  1. Open a new blank VI.
  2. Drop your "run when opened VI" into the block diagram of this blank VI as a subVI.
  3. Now you can open the subVI and change it's settings...

This might help, too - Abort VI - LabVIEW IDE - LAVA (lavag.org)  I wrote it a lot of years ago.
