How to terminate labview.exe process in taskmanager

Hello,

When I run "DAQmx Reset Device.vi" at the beginning of my lv program, the program hanged at this function. It couldn't be stopped by clicking the Abortion button.
After close LV program, I noticed that labview.exe was in the process list of the task manager and it took about 99% memory usage. Clicking "End process" couldn't  terminate the process. Clicking "uninstall device" on DAQ card in device manager only get no response.

Since the computer is in a remote place, using "shut down" may cause that PC deadlock in a state. I want to terminate the process first.

I use labview 7.1, winxpsp2, pci-6503 DAQ card.

Any idea how to terminate the labview.exe? Thanks!

Hi George, have you tried to stop LabVIEW with Ctrl + Period. If you can’t close directly the application from the applications tab in the task manager you can close the labview.exe in the process tab.

Also to avoid having this hanging you should download the latest versions of the DAQmx drivers. Do not install the driver over your current driver, uninstall your driver first then install the new driver.
