How to use VISA + USB001 instead of COM1

hello

I need to communicate programmatically to a printer that was first installed via COM1 RS232 and configured with VISA functions

(document joined, LV2012, sorry for the old bad code)

now it's not working anymore and I would like to use the USB input instead. in the printer properties, the printer is defined as USB006

When I change my VISA initialisation node from COM1 to USB006? if not is there another way?

You could try communicating with it using USB RAW mode.  However, a lot of devices use different communication over USB than they do serial, so the chances that this will work aren't super great.

Hi Pierre,

now it's not working anymore and I would like to use the USB input instead.

Why don't you replace the PC COM port by a simple USB-to-RS232 converter? They are cheap (in the order of ~10€)…
