IEC 61580 protocol

There are two methods of configuring Windows software applications to interact with the IEC 61850 protocol drivers
that also run on the Windows operating system on the rugged computer. one of them is DDE, how do i precise the 

"item" at "DDE request" or "advise" that comes from IEC 61580 ?

Hi, 

What driver for 61580 are you working with.  Currently, NI only has a driver for  IEC-60870-5-101 and 104.  Is this a third party driver, and what NI products are you using?  If you are trying to call a dll file from LabVIEW, then use the call library function node.

If you can give me some more info as to how you are using NI products, I may be able to assist you further.
