IEEE 1394 IMAXdx and Legacy Issues

I have been using  my SONY SCD-SX910 camera for a while, but have had a few issues pertaining to IMAXdx functionalities and the Legacy functionalities. (I'm in 8.2 with the latest Vision software.)

1)  I have been trying to implement the Legacy snap example but never succeed due to the camera interface.  When I have Labview automatically create a control, it does not let me use name of the camera 'cam0'.

(I have the Legacy driver installed.)  Why won't this work? 

2)  Because the Legacy example did not work, I created a code using the IMAXdx functions.  However, when I load the driver. The snap function does not work in MAX.  (I haven't been restarting between switches... does this matter?)

3)  And one last easy question... I had to copy over the i/0 (purple) control for the SONY camera for the IMAXdx from an example.  Where is this in the functions menu?

Just to confirm that you are using IMAQdx with your SONY XCD-SX910 camera, is that correct? I've attached an example using IMAQdx for snapping an image for you.

If that example doesnt work, you may need to repair your Vision Acquisition Software driver in Add/Remove Program.
