Hi everyone 🙂 ,
I would be interested fo find out a way of importing a tdms file in an excel file?
I am acquiring strain measurements from ten channels and these measurements are written to a TDMS file using the TDMS Write function. I would like then to open the tdms file in an excel file for further analysis. What is the best way to do that? Can an excel function be imported to the vi?
Thanks.

Thanks Matthew,
I have tried to download it now and I followed this for Excel 2013:
http://www.ni.com/tutorial/12049/en/
However, when I press the ExcelTDM.dll to import it in Excel, it says that it is not a valid Office Add-in.
Thanks.

What version of LabVIEW? What version of Office? If we are going to try to duplicate (and "see") your problem, we need to know these parameters ...

I don't have 2013 installed on my PC, so I am not going to be of much more help. Hopefully someone else will be able to assist you.

Hi,
I tried to install the NITDMEXCEL 15-0-0.exe and it works fine in my Excel 2013.
I don't have to do the procedure describe here : http://www.ni.com/tutorial/12049/en/
What is your version of the Excel Add-in? I'm using the 15.0.0.5733.
Did you try to uninstall and reinstall the Excel Add-in?

It is now working fine with NITDMEXCEL 15-0-0. I can import the tdms file (2014) in Excel (2013).
Thanks to all of you 😉

If you have the add on working, you should look at a conversion utility I made. It has a couple demos of making XLSX files with custom summary pages, freezing cells, and conditional formatting.
