Installazione su disco esterno

Ciao a tutti,

Devo installare sul mio computer Labview 2022 Q3, solo che non voglio installare sul SSD del mio computer perchè è molto pesante ma in un HDD esterno. Ho visto che sia scaricando la versione offline che sia quella online di NI Package Manager non mi da la possibilità di scegliere dove installare il programma ed i relativi drivers.

Come posso fare?

The below KB documents how to instruct NI software to install to a non-default location. The change can be made after already having installed some NI software, as the change will only affect future installations. Basically these location are used by software products as the base directory for where the product will install.

How Do I Change the Installation Folder of My Software in NI Package Manager?

Most NI software products use a similar mechanism to specify where the product will be installed, so an alternative is to pre-create the product specific registry key and pre-create the directory before installing the software product. For example, LabVIEW 2022 (64-bit) uses the registry key "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\National Instruments\LabVIEW\22.0\Path"  to specify where LabVIEW is installed, and if you precreate the key, and directory before installing, the LabVIEW installer will target that location during installation.
