Installing labview 2011 on labview 2010

Hi,

I have LV2010 installed and want to upgrade to 2011. Can LV2011 be installed on top of LV2010? If yes, any risk associated? If no, should uninstall, what about license server then?

Hi David,

you can install several LabVIEW versions on one computer. Usually everything runs fine...

Problems may arise when mixing very old LabVIEW version with recent ones as the new driver versions (DAQmx, Vision, etc.) might not support all older LabVIEW versions as well. From LV2010 to LV2011 there probably is no problem, you might check the website or phone your local NI support to talk about that!
