Intensity Graph - Mapping Mode

Hi

I have searched the NI website, and tried to search the Info-Labview
archives, with no success.

Am I able to set the Mapping Mode of the X and Y scales of an Intensity
Graph to Logarithmic (not Linear)? The Attribute Node to do this
exists, but setting it to 1 appears to have no effect, and I am unable
to select Logaritmic in the Formatting dialog box. I can set the
Mapping Mode to Logarithmic on the Z-Scale though. I am using Labview
5.1.1, Mac.

Thanks

Paul Davey

The answer is no. Apparently the developer did not see the point in supporting logrithmic scales for this type of graph. If you still want this style of graph, you can "code it yourself" with the picture control. See the picture control examples.

Has anybody ever coded this and are they willing to share the result?

You could use a 3-d graph which does support log scales on all axis.

You set the colors to map to the Z-scale values and just view the graph by looking down on the XY plane.

Ben

This thread will get you started using the 3-d graph.

Thanks Ben

I will give that a try.

It would be nice if NI could kindly enable the Mapping property at the earliest opportunity.
