Invert Motor Help

For our wheels, we have two motors per each side of the robot. It seems as though the motors are working against each other on one side and we need to invert one of them. However, we do not know how. We have found where to invert them, but it looks like it doesn't save. Help please?

Well, perhaps it the function 1 inch from the left of your VI and 4 inches down ...  Sorry, I don't know what that function is, because you didn't post your code.  Please do not post a picture, unless you can post an executable picture (there are such things ...) -- it is much simpler just to post your VI.

The talons we use are the Talon SR and the motors are 217-2000 12VDC RoHS 5301BL.

Hi dw2012,

It sounds like you might be an FRC team (if not, you can ignore this comment).  We have a specific forum for FRC teams located at ni.com/frc, as well as an array of additional help resources.  Here's a link!

NI also provides phone support to FRC teams on LabVIEW and the roboRIO from 1pm-7pm Central Time, Monday - Friday during the build season.  Our contact information can be found here.

It sounds like you're trying to use tank drive for your robot.  There's some VIs in the robot control palette for configuring tank drive that I would recommend you take a look at, as well as a Tank Drive Example in the NI Example Finder under Help>Find Examples, in FRC Robotics>roboRIO>Robot and Motor>Tank Drive.lvproj.

I hope this helps!  Good luck with the remainder of build season and at your competition!

Regards,
Kelly B.
