i have labview 7.0 and 8.5 installed on my notebook.

it seems like all the DAQ and DAQMX folders are installed in 8.5.

I cant open the missing .dll files from 8.5 on 7.0.

what should i do to install DAQ and DAQmx on 7.0?

Krispie,

What version of daqmx do you have installed?

The last version of Daqmx that supported LV 7.0 was Daqmx 8.1, as seen here -> NI-DAQ & LabVIEW Version Compatibility

This may be somewhat complicated since I would normally not install older versions of drivers on top of newer versions...your best bet would be to remove whatever version you are currently using before installing this.

i dont like installing versions on top of another.

Yeah...if we use add/remove programs and remove daqmx first, it may run flawlessly, but this is always a gamble since I am not exactly sure how many folders are affected by installing daqmx.  And of course, reverting daqmx to a previous version may remove something that works well in 8.5 with the new drivers.

Is there any reason you cant open this code in 8.5 and work on it from there?

i have to use 7.0 because all the drivers and  the software is in 7.0.

its too much work to work with 8.5 and then save it for version 7.1 then 7.0
