LV 2023 Q3 Community Edition License now says "Activate" but of course I can't because it's a subscription service.

Solved!

So, using the ni-labview-2023-community-x86_23.3.0_offline.iso file, I installed LabVIEW and was surprised when it said it needed activating, and to my surprise, Windows Community Edition is now listed on my registration page as "Activate" and not "Renew".  (But all the other, non-Windows Community Edition entries still have "Renew" as a choice.)

Does this help?

One thing that stands out to me is you have to activate using the same NI account that you used to download the software.

Heads up! NI has moved LabVIEW to a mandatory SaaS subscription policy, along with a big price increase. Make your voice heard.

I am going to say "yes" except that I have two accounts and I cannot be absolutely certain.  So even though I believe I have, I'm going to redownload it, making sure it's the same acct.

So finally I was able to activate it.  I actually had to go against established recommendations that you be logged in through the browser to facilitate activation and actually logged out.  I then logged in through the activation wizard and it all went well.  I did confirm that throughout the failed attempts that it was logged into the correct account, so I really don't know why it didn't "just work".

NI identified a problem where the entitlement for LabVIEW Community Edition wasn't being created correctly when you downloaded the installer.

This should now be fixed.

If you had previously installed LabVIEW 2023 Q3 Community Edition but were unable to activate it, please initiate a download of LabVIEW 2023 Q3 Community Edition again (note: you don't have to complete the download), and then try to launch and activate LabVIEW.
