Client to use LV exe on their network running virtual severs on Windows Server. We issue single exe which they want their users to have acccess to multiple instances.
I have many questions and am not sure this will work. Does LV run on Windows Server? Will the LV RTE facilitate this?
Does the LV exe need to be set to Allow Multiple Instances?
Any tips or suggestions or clear facts you could let me know about running multiple instances of LV apps on a network?
Thanks all.

Hey battler,
LabVIEW and the corresponding run-time engine will run on Windows Server. You can see what versions of LabVIEW work with which OS here: http://www.ni.com/labview/os-support/.
Depending on how you launch the multiple instances of the VI, there are a couple of ways to allow this to occur. You can read about the options at this KnowledgeBase article: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/49334E1013800E4886257A6800782495?OpenDocument
As for doing this all on a network the only additional consideration versus running it on a desktop would be firewall and network setting. This document should cover some concepts you may need: http://www.ni.com/white-paper/12402/en/
Hope this helps.

I mean to launch Multiple Instances of an EXE. There is a setting in the LV exe ini file isn't there? Does this setting need to be used for server application?
Thanks.

battler.,
I found a KnowledgeBase article covering running multiple instances of an exe. There is a token, allowmultipleinstances, in the exe ini file to allow multiple instances. This token should work fine when running the exe on Windows Server.
