I currently have a PC Remote Desktop system. This computer has a serial port and usb ports on it. Can I utilize those ports to speak to another device through LV?
For example, I would like to be able to send data via RS232 over the serial port of this computer to another device, and be able to retrieve data from it. Does LV RT support this? If so, which toolbox/sets of commands must I use to properly communicate with another device.
For those who are wondering, the other device is a microprocessor based custom board. Ideally, I would like a user of an application to be able to send commands (small text strings) to the board, and be able to view or interpret the boards response.
If this can't be done via RS232 is there a way I can do it through USB without needing to create my own driver?
Thanks a bunch,
