Dig through your profile settings for the forum.  Under Preferences / Display, set your emoticon type to none.  Now it won't automatically convert certain character combinations to smileys.

Has this ever worked before (like in a previous LabVIEW version)?

 

Can you attach a screenshot of your project window as well as the 'source files' and 'source files settings' categories of your executable properties?

The problem appears to be that the application cannot be built within the "Program Files\National Instruments\Labview 2011\user.lib" folder. When I moved the main vi to a non-"Program Files" folder and put the build file and the build destination in that folder, the built executable was able to run without requiring the user to locate missing vis.
