LabVIEW 8.6 installation on Windows 7 and LabVIEW 11

Hi,

I have TI DSK DSP boards that can only be used with LabVIEW 8.6. My computer has LabVIEW 2011; I am going to install 8.6 version on 2011 version; is this going affect any functionality of the newer version?? Also, is there any other way to interface with the TI DSK without using LabVIEW 8.6??

Installing LabVIEW 8.6 should not affect the 2011 installation.  It should also be okay with WIndows 7.

Since I do not know what would limit you to 8.6 with the TI DSK, I can't comment on that one.

Higher LabVIEW versions are not compatible with TI DSK 6713 (that is what i am using as DSP project target). This is the only reason I am limited to using 8.6; if there is any other alternative, I would love it!

Unfortunately the latest DSP module version available is the one compatible with LabVIEW 8.6, as you can see here and here.
