Hi all,
I have LabVIEW 2009 SP1 and LabVIEW 2010 SP1. However, I am still using 2009 SP1, since some of my co-workers have not installed 2010. As I was working with 2009, I moved some VI in my project, and it crashed. I restarted LabVIEW and it crahsed again. It keeps saying that "LabVIEW 9.0.1 Development System has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience". The detail of the error is attached. I could open LV2010 though. Can anyone help?

When you are restarting LabVIEW are you trying to restart LabVIEW by itself, or are you trying to double-click on a VI or project? If it's the latter, did you try the former? If LabVIEW is crashing when you try to launch it directly, have you tried a repair of the installation? You could also try deleting the LabVIEW.ini file and have it recreate it. Do you have custom probes in your LabVIEW Data folder? If so, try deleting them.

I tried just starting LV and double click on the project to start LabVIEW. I have not tried a repair installation. how do you do that? I do not have a custom probes, and I will try to delete my ini file.

After a day, without doing anything to fix the problem, I tried to open 2009 again, and I was able to. It seems like the problem went away for no reason. Thanks!
